Asthma: Severe asthma, which means his condition can deteriorate very quickly and become life-threatening

In late 2007, Eddie’s asthma deteriorated significantly as he had a bad cold lasting for three weeks. He then suffered a severe asthma attack and was only just able to call an ambulance and crawl to the door before he passed out. Fortunately the ambulance crew reached him in time and rushed him to hospital, where he spent four days in the acute care unit.

Eddie now supports Asthma UK's work through regularly sharing his story with the media to raise awareness of asthma.
