Lloyd has severe asthma, which can quickly become life-threatening. When Lloyd’s asthma deteriorates, he can miss large periods of time from school. In the past, he has suffered a number of near fatal asthma attacks, including one when he was put on a life support machine following a respiratory and cardiac arrest. Over the last couple of years, Lloyd’s asthma has improved, but the family is always prepared in case his condition deteriorates and takes his asthma seriously.
