Asthma UK Supporter Charter
Asthma UK is the charity dedicated to improving the health and well-being of over 5 million people in the UK whose lives are affected by asthma.
We work together with people with asthma, health professionals and researchers to develop and share expertise to help people increase their understanding and reduce the effect of asthma on their lives.
Our vision is:
'Control over asthma today, freedom from asthma tomorrow'.
Our mission is:
'Improving the health and well-being of people with asthma by building and sharing expertise about asthma.'
Comment from a supporter who wanted to know why people in England have to pay for their asthma medicine.
It is only with your help that we can achieve these aims and to show how much we value your ongoing support we have created a Supporter Charter outlining our promises to you:
When you make a donation to Asthma UK, we promise to:
- always bank your donation as quickly as possible to make sure your money starts working straightaway.
- thank you as quickly as possible (unless you don’t want us to).
- keep you updated about our work and the ways in which your donations are helping.
Whenever you want to tell us something, whether it is by phone, email or letter, we promise to
- always respond to your questions courteously and professionally.
- provide you with an answer straightaway, but if we can’t do that let you know when we will get back to you.
- treat any information you provide sensitively and confidentially (for further information please see our privacy policy).

Complaints
Asthma UK aims to ensure that it maintains high standards in all of its work, but we recognise that sometimes we can get it wrong. Without your feedback on these occasions we would not be able to improve the service we can offer to you in the future.
