The UK division of the insurance company, Chubb, has chosen to support Asthma UK throughout 2010 as its first ever charity of the year partner and aims to successfully raise over £10,000 towards some key projects for children with asthma.

The year is set to be very busy with plenty of fundraising activities lined up already, such as a Christmas bazaar in November, lots of employee competitions and engagement opportunities. Chubb UK will of course also be taking part in Putting Asthma in the Limelight again in 2010.

Rachel Farrow Corporate Fundraising Officer at Asthma UK, said: ‘We are delighted to be working with Chubb UK in this way and are all extremely excited about all the planned activities taking place over the next year. We’ll be working closely with them to ultimately have a lot of fun whilst hopefully exceeding their fundraising target and raising vital awareness of the charity to reach even more people with asthma.’

Lucy Williams, member of the Charity at Chubb Team said: ‘Chubb UK chose to support Asthma UK because of the amazing work the charity does to help disadvantaged children in the UK who have asthma. We were shocked to hear that asthma is so prevalent that one in five households is affected in the UK and that the condition for our children is in fact one of the highest of any country in the world.

‘We are excited to be partnering with the charity over the next year and that through many fun activities and events we can raise money to help to improve the quality of life for many more people with asthma in the UK.’
