Asthma UK and NC3Rs are seeking high-quality applications to develop new experimental models of asthma with 1) improved scientific and clinical relevance 2) reduced reliance on the use of animals and/or improved animal welfare.
In 2009 we launched the Asthma UK Travel Awards scheme, which provides funding for UK-based healthcare professionals to attend the European Respiratory Society Annual Congress.
The application process for research project grants starting in 2010 is now closed. We are offering one year ‘Foundation' grants capped at £50,000.
Through our fellowship and studentship programme we hope to identify, support, and promote the development of asthma experts and opinion leaders of the future.
A range of organisations will consider applications for asthma research, including the MRC, Wellcome Trust and NIHR.
