Current research

Our research programme currently includes around 40 projects, three fellowships, five studentships and two professorships.

These researchers are based throughout the UK. A focal point for Asthma UK’s research is the MRC-Asthma UK Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma, based at Imperial College and King’s College London.

In 2009 and 2010 we funded 20 UK research and healthcare professionals to attend the European Respiratory Society Annual Congress.
