Asthma & My Child

Basic guide to asthma for parents of children who have recently been diagnosed.

'Asthma & My Child' is a resource for parents of children under the age of 12 who have been newly diagnosed with asthma. They will help parents understand the basics of asthma and reassure them about their child's asthma. It answers commonly asked questions such as: How will asthma affect my child on a day-to-day basis? What can I do to help? Is there a cure? It also helps parents know where to go for more information if they have other worries.


 

Asthma in the Under Fives

Guide for parents of under fives who have asthma.

This booklet gives information to parents of children under five with asthma and covers the diagnosis of asthma in young children. This is recommended for all parents or carers of a young child with asthma.

Asthma Attack Card

Wallet sized card guide to do during an asthma attack.

The asthma attack cards are small credit card sized cards designed to remind people with asthma and those around them about what to do during an asthma attack. The card is recommended for everyone with asthma including infants and children. It includes information on what to do in an asthma attack and emergency services information

Pre-School & School Asthma Cards

School asthma card, for details of your child's asthma and medicines.

An ideal way of providing written information about a child's asthma for schools or pre-school carers - it includes space to record asthma medicines, triggers and symptoms and emergency contact details.


Kick Asthma website

Kick Asthma is the new website for children and young people with asthma. They can join Bex, Woody and the rest of the Kick-A Crew to learn what it is like to have asthma, discover the asthma problem page and chat on the messageboard.
