Allergy Standards Certification MarkPeople with asthma and allergies will soon be able to shop with confidence thanks to the development of a new certification mark for products that are shown to be asthma and allergy friendly.

The mark is awarded by Asthma UK and Allergy Standards Limited for products that have been scientifically proven to limit people's exposure to allergens.

The asthma and allergy friendly certification programme will be awarded to products that have been subject to rigorous independent scientific testing to verify their ability to help people with asthma and associated allergies restrict the number of allergy triggers they come into contact with. 

It will ensure that proven anti-allergen products stand out from the crowd and will cover household products including bedding, cleaning products, toys air filters and vacuum cleaners.
