Community projects: the Challenge Fund
The Challenge Fund was set up in 2003 thanks to a generous legacy from Asthma UK supporter Aline Mozelle Morny, and it was decided that people with asthma should benefit locally from her generosity.
For the last 5 years, Asthma UK has supported a number of projects through the Challenge Fund, which has awarded grants to healthcare professionals and community groups or individuals for initiatives that will identify, develop and promote good practice to improve the lives of people with asthma.
The closing date for applications for the final round of funding was in November 2007. The successful projects were confirmed by our Trustees in late January 2008.
You can see further information for the selected projects in both the current projects and the completed projects sections. The status for each project was updated in December 2008.
Asthma UK will no longer be supporting community projects through the Challenge Fund. The funding allocated for these projects is now being used in a number of other areas within our new strategy.
