Research in Northern Ireland

Asthma UK is funding two researchers in Northern Ireland, Dr Liam Heaney and Dr Lorcan McGarvey. Dr Heaney leads two Asthma UK-funded studies that focus on the treatment of people with severe asthma. The purpose of his first study is to develop a new test to identify people with steroid treatment-resistant asthma who might benefit from other forms of asthma therapy.
