Research

The causes of asthma are still unknown and for 250,000 people current treatment is not effective, meaning their lives are severely compromised.

Asthma UK funds research into all aspects of asthma,
from scientific studies into the biology of our lungs,
through to the creation of new treatments and investigating its causes.

In this section you can read about our research projects, their achievements and the scientists making these significant discoveries.
