These videos show three children talking about their experiences of asthma. They have been designed to be used as part of the PHSE and Science lesson plans, or you could use them on their own or as part of an assembly.

Reme

Reme has severe asthma. She is 11 years old and she and her brother Keanu help to care for their mother Wendy, who also has severe asthma and allergies. The video shows Reme talking about what triggers her asthma and how she is able to control it so that she can still enjoy playing sport.

Poppy

Poppy is a friend of Reme’s. The video shows her talking about how she has learnt to look out for Reme and to recognise the signs that Reme might need help.

Nick

Nick has asthma. He is 11 years old and a very keen young sportsman. Nick explains what medicines he uses to control his asthma and how he can tell when he needs to use them.
