Kick Asthma holiday places available

Asthma UK's adventure holidays for children and young people with asthma will take place throughout July and August 2007, and places are available now.

Kick Asthma holidays combine physical and social activities, such as abseiling, kayaking and quizzes, with educational sessions that teach the young people more about how to control their asthma.

Lasting a week, the holidays are divided into two age groups: 6-11 and 12-17. The holidays are managed by experts, with young people closely supervised by trained volunteers and health professionals. The cost is subsidised by Asthma UK and ranges from £20-£350 depending on people's ability to pay.

Asthma UK is also on the lookout for volunteers. All volunteer staff are selected on the basis of an application form and references.
