Singing to support asthma
11 December 2007

Johnny Vaughan attends Asthma UK's Christmas Carol Service The third annual Asthma UK Christmas Carol Service was held in St Luke’s Church, Chelsea, London, to a packed congregation of supporters and celebrities, including Asthma UK's Patron HRH The Duchess of Gloucester.

The Gallery Choir of Westminster Cathedral Choir School provided a professional touch to the carol singing, and celebrity supporters Michael Portillo, Johnny Vaughan, Susannah York and Russell Floyd entertained the congregation with readings of their favourite festive stories. Notable was Johnny Vaughan’s ‘The Grinch Who Stole Christmas’, which the children especially enjoyed.

Katie Hammond, Asthma UK’s Community Fundraising Officer, said: ‘We are delighted that our Christmas Carol Service continues to be a success – and one that raises vital funds to improve the lives of people with asthma. Thanks go to everyone involved, who worked really hard to make the occasion such a memorable one.’
