Abolition of Prescription Charges in Scotland
On 1 April 2010 The Scottish Government reduced the charge for a single prescription item from £4.00 to £3.00. The cost of Prescription Pre-payment Certificates (PPCs) has also come down. A 12 month PPC now costs £28.00 and a 4 month PPC £10.00 .
