Fundraising: How to get started

Once you have decided to take part in an event, the next step is to plan how to reach your fundraising target!

Create an online fundraising page

An easy way to get started is to set up an online fundraising page through the online giving website justgiving. You can set up a page in minutes, personalise it with your own message and photo then email the link to your friends, family and colleagues. It’s that simple!

Order a fundraising pack

If you would like further ideas and advice, information about asthma and other materials to help you with your fundraising, we can send you a fundraising pack.

Each pack includes:

  • a fundraising handbook full of fundraising ideas and advice
  • fundraising factsheets
  • a sponsorship form, posters and balloons
  • information about asthma and Asthma UK.
To order your free fundraising pack, email events@asthma.org.uk with your name, address and which event you are taking part in.

 

Sending in the money you have raised

To send in money you have raised, all you need to do is download a remittance form from this page, fill out this form and include it along with any donations you are sending in.

If you have collected donations in cash, please raise a cheque or postal order for this amount, made payable to Asthma UK, and send this to us with your remittance form. Using this form makes administering and acknowledging your donation much easier for us.
