Don't Wait appeal

Asthma UK has launched its Don't Wait appeal to overcome the misconceptions that surround asthma, ensuring that its impact is not underestimated, and to save lives. 

 
I'm in hospital a lot, pretty much every month. People don't think asthma's bad, but they don't see that side of it. Last year I had 56 days off school – that's almost a whole term. Having asthma is terrifying.'

Every 19 minutes a child is admitted to hospital because of asthma. Every seven hours, another person dies from an asthma attack.
