Partners Against Asthma

Partners Against Asthma logoEvery day asthma kills three people. With your help it doesn’t have to be this way.

Partners Against Asthma are a select group of people who help us to plan our long-term work to make a real difference to the lives of the 5.4 million people in the UK affected by this often underestimated condition.

As a Partner Against Asthma you will be key to the continued success of Asthma UK’s work, providing essential sustainable income to launch new initiatives and plan for the future. We will keep you updated on the vital work you are supporting in various ways:

  • invitations to leading research institutions such as King’s College London and Imperial College London to view firsthand some of the pioneering research that we are able to fund thanks to your committed support
  • invitations to seminars to hear from world renowned researchers about key advances and breakthroughs in their work
  • invitations to our offices to hear from service delivery staff, such as our asthma nurse specialists who staff the life-saving Asthma UK Adviceline
  • dedicated newsletters twice a year updating you on key developments in Asthma UK’s work to improve the health and well-being of people with asthma.

There will also be other opportunities for members to meet and learn more about our work in a social setting:

  • World Asthma Day House of Commons reception - 5 May
  • our annual Gala Evening at Middle Temple with celebrity speaker Alexander Armstrong – 17 September
  • our musical evening in the opulent and historic setting of Goldsmiths’ Hall – 5 November
  • our annual Christmas Carol Service - 2 December.

How to become a Partner

  • To become a Partner, please make a donation of between £2,000 and £5,000.
  • To become a Senior Partner, please make a donation of £5,000 or more.
We are more than happy for supporters to spread their donations over the year by making quarterly payments or to take credit card donations over the phone.

How your support could make a difference

£2,000 could enable us to print 100,000 life-saving Asthma Attack Cards, providing vital information on how to recognise an asthma attack and what to do.

£3,000 could enable an asthma nurse specialist to help over 500 people by providing independent, confidential advice to people with asthma, their carers and healthcare professionals.

£5,000 could enable eight children with asthma to go on a Kick Asthma holiday, where they will develop the skills and confidence to better manage their condition.

£10,000 could fund an Asthma UK PhD studentship for six months, helping us to enhance and develop the current network of asthma researchers and invest in the future of asthma research.

£50,000
could fund one of our vital medical research projects for a year, investigating the causes of asthma and ways to prevent it from developing in the first place, as well as developing new treatments.

Become a Partner Against Asthma today and play a significant part in transforming the future for people with asthma.
