  • 31 October 2008 - 09 November 2008
  • Distance: 100kms

Landscape
The terrain varies from firm desert floor to rocky ground with some steep strenuous ascents of sand-dunes offering spectacular views of the multi-coloured desert landscape.

Costs

  • £ 2250 minimum sponsorship
  • £ 249 registration fee

Can you take the heat?

With proud Berbers as your desert guides and a small caravan of camels to carry the group's supplies you will trek amongst sand dunes and tamarisk trees following the Jebel Bani.

After scaling the heights of Chegga, the largest dune in the region you will cross the Iriki Saltpan, through acacia trees and shimmering heat.

Trekking for an average of 6-7 hours a day, the heat can be intense during the day but drop considerably at night. The feeling of space and utter remoteness is awesome.

The trek ends with a free day to explore Marrakech.
