Help influence the work of Asthma UK and meet other young people with asthma, join the Asthma UK Youth Forum!

Being part of the Youth Forum has opened many doors for me and has given me different experiences with life.

Charlotte, Youth Forum member

The Asthma UK Youth Forum is a group of young people involved with various parts of Asthma UK's work.

The group was established to:

  • feedback to Asthma UK about issues that affect their day to day life while managing their asthma
  • get their comments on the services, materials, campaigns and policies developed by the charity
  • allow children and young people to meet with other people with different severities of asthma
  • help think of ways to raise awareness of asthma and deliver them to the public in ways such as competitions.

Youth Forum at the Youth ConferenceThey are also spokespeople for Asthma UK in their community and in the media and train up a group of children and young people to be speakers and case studies. The forum also write a page targeted at young people for the Asthma Magazine called Young Lungs.

There are currently 16 members of the forum and they meet a few times a year, often at the Asthma UK offices in London although previous meeting places have been at Alton Towers and the London Eye!

Join the forum!

We are always looking for children and young people to join the group so if you're between 12 and 19 years old, have asthma and would like to influence the work of Asthma UK, please email getinvolved@asthma.org.uk or call 0800 121 62 55.
