Clinical and Experimental Allergy Science journal editorial calls for greater investment in asthma research

2 September 2016

Ahead of the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress, which runs 3-7 September 2016 in London, a high profile editorial in the respected science journal Clinical and Experimental Allergy calls for a pan-European partnership approach to tackling the challenges of asthma and greater investment in asthma research.

The article ‘Building the investment case for asthma Research and Development: the European Asthma Research and Innovation Partnership argument’, authored by Asthma UK on behalf of the European Asthma Research & Innovation Partnership (EARIP), highlights the fact that current asthma outcomes in Europe are unacceptably poor, and that if nothing changes the outlook is set to get even more bleak.

The authors ask the asthma community to sign up to their statement calling for more investment, and to join them at a European Respiratory Society symposium in London on Monday 5 September.
