working with healthcare and digital health professionals to improve asthma outcomes
What we do
Asthma UK works to ensure that people with asthma receive the highest-quality care from their healthcare professionals, and that new asthma digital products enable people to manage their asthma more effectively.
We produce award-winning materials used by healthcare professionals to help people with asthma understand and manage their condition more effectively.
These resources have been co-created with people with asthma and developed using the most trusted evidence. You can access these materials, including the Asthma Action Plan and other information, on our healthcare professionals page.
We work with asthma digital technology developers to help ensure digital products best meet the needs of people with asthma. You can find out more about this, and our broader work in asthma digital health on these pages.
Funded by a grant from the Department of Health, our 12-Week Asthma Support Programme is a free personalised asthma support programme designed to lower asthma attack risk for adults aged 18-67 who’ve had an asthma attack and/or been prescribed oral steroid tablets in the past year.
Developed by asthma clinicians and health psychology experts this new programme takes an innovative approach by challenging patients’ negative beliefs about their asthma and their medicines, improving self-management and adherence.
Please direct any patients you think might benefit from the programme to our 12-Week Asthma Support Programme page where they’ll be asked to fill in a short eligibility questionnaire to start the sign-up process.
