We’re excited to embark on a national roadshow visiting cities across the country to help raise awareness of lung health and the help available form Asthma + Lung UK. We will travel to supermarkets and public locations between June and October 2024 and volunteers will help us to engage with the local communities.
Community representative volunteers will mainly attend the events in their local region. They will help by engaging the public and signpost them to the hubs, share knowledge about the charity and how people can benefit from our support. Once the locations are confirmed, we will reach out to the volunteers in the region with details about the dates and times of the event. The community hubs will be open for two days in each location and volunteers will be able to join for a morning session between 10AM-1PM or an afternoon one between 1PM-4PM.
This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to volunteer on a short-term or one-off basis. You will also have the chance to register for other regular volunteering opportunities available in your area.
Please note that this role involves some outdoors activity, as well as walking and standing to run the information stall.
We provide a volunteer briefing session before each event, resources and a team member contact to support you. We’ll also refund all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses incurred while volunteering.
