Hans Michael says “Your support is vital for our research to develop new drugs that target ADAM33.  While we have good asthma therapies that control inflammation and relieve symptoms, we have no therapies that prevent or reverse asthma. Our aim is to develop ADAM33 blocking agents for new asthma treatments in the future.

Help support more life-changing research into new treatments

Through the discovery of the ‘asthma gene’, ADAM33, Dr Hans Michael Haitchi is working to stop the development of allergic asthma in children. Imagine what this could mean for future generations?

Dr Luke Daines is exploring better ways to help doctors and nurses diagnose asthma more accurately

How can new technology like smart inhalers and apps help children take their inhalers properly?
